Gardening With My Muck Garden Shoes
Not so long ago, I was married, had two children, a beautiful house, and a very loving husband. I guess it has been a long time, 20 years in fact. Nowadays it’s just me, my children have moved out and on their own and my husband passed away a few years ago.
I was a teacher for many years, changing the lives of kids every years in my classroom. Every week I run into a former student whether it’s at the grocery store or the restaurant.
My other lifelong passion is a hobby that I tend to every summer is gardening. Having the summers off is the biggest benefit to teaching school, us teachers used to look forward to it more than the kids every year.
Now, my house doesn’t have a very big yard, but what it does have is enough room for me to plant quite a few rows of vegetable and other plants. After morning coffee, I like to slip on my Muck daily shoes and check on my progress. There are not too many things that give me as much joy as seeing the progress of a growing plant. Keeping track of my children is my biggest joy of course, but since they are not here with me, this will suffice.
My neighbor across the street bought me these Muck Boots for Mother’s day on year. I love the fact that they resist any garden type contaminants. The pink color is perfect for me. It’s definitely a shoe for the ladies.
